South Shore Industries, an integral part of the Adult Services Program of Cardinal Cushing Centers, Inc., offers a wide range of employment opportunities to adults with disabilities over the age of twenty-two. South Shore Industries is committed to the exploration, development and implementation of employment plans that reflect each individual's preferences, skills and needs. Individuals come to South Shore Industries with a variety of employment experiences. Many are successfully employed by local businesses and need varying levels of support from the experienced Job Coaches provided through South Shore Industries. For others, South Shore Industries may be their initial step into a work environment. These individuals are offered opportunities to explore a variety of employment settings, which include volunteer programs, and/or participation as a member of a community-based work crew. South Shore Industries also has an onsite production center where, through a variety of contract work opportunities, individuals can enhance and strengthen employment-related skills and earn money.
A comprehensive employment retention program is offered to support and training to individuals in areas such as: resume writing, interviewing skills, appropriate social and conversational boundaries and community safety.

Located in Weymouth, the program site is fully accessible and climate controlled. Program referrals are generated through the Department of Mental Retardation and the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission. All South Shore Industries staff are required to maintain current certifications in CPR, CPI, First Aid and Medication Administration.
