Gym
 We
use our gym for adaptive phys. ed. classes, for assemblies, and for
special events like Special Olympics.
Special Olympics has separate, international
component called the Motor Activities Training Program. Cardinal
Cushing Centers has been participating in this segment of Special
Olympics longer than anyone. We make it a focal event where most
others who participate do MATP as a side event to traditional
Special Olympics.
Sporting a 15 year tradition, over forty
special Olympians from Cardinal Cushing Centers and the community
compete in four Olympic events: Dexterity, Hand/Eye, Spatial, and
Body Awareness.
