VISION
Building upon our historical traditions and Franciscan
values under the sponsorship of the Sisters of St. Francis
of Assisi since 1947, St. Coletta and Cardinal Cushing Schools
of Massachusetts will continue to provide quality of care
supports to individuals with mental retardation and secondary
challenges in a proactive, individualized and supportive
manner. The organization will further develop center based
and community services reinforced by national and international
affiliations with other human service organizations, colleges,
research centers and schools. St. Coletta and Cardinal Cushing
Schools will provide pioneering experiences for individuals
and will be a first response organization to reflect the
evolving needs, vision and diversity of our society.
MISSION
ST. COLETTA AND CARDINAL CUSHING SCHOOLS OF MASSACHUSETTS
St. Coletta and Cardinal Cushing Schools provides sponsorship,
management and leadership to Cardinal Cushing Centers, Inc.
and to Cushing Residence, Inc. for the support of youth
and adults with diverse special needs and their families
to realize the spiritual, academic, vocational and social
potential in a supportive and enriching environment. Further,
St. Coletta and Cardinal Cushing Schools provides sponsorship,
management and leadership to Cushing Residence, Inc. for
the independent and assisted living support for senior citizens
and adults with disabilities in an affordable living environment.
CARDINAL CUSHING CENTERS, INC.
Cardinal Cushing Centers, Inc. of Braintree and Hanover,
provide a specialized living and learning environment where
comprehensive programs, services and supports are provided
for students with diverse backgrounds and special needs.
Students attain a sense of self-esteem, achieve meaningful
goals, prepare for a successful transition to adult life,
maximize their levels of independence and quality of life,
and realize their highest potential as active and accepted
participants in their communities.
Further, for individuals over the age of 22 years, we are
committed to providing home and work opportunities that
empower individuals to take control and make choices for
themselves to enhance the quality of their lives as contributing
members of society.
CUSHING RESIDENCE, INC.
Cushing Residence provides affordable housing to senior
citizens over the age of 62 years and individuals with disabilities
which enables the individual to live independently in a
home environment that provides for the quality and dignity
of life with full access to the community and neighbors.
